The island in my new kitchen. Other than that, I'd have to say Kauai.
It was at a steak place in San Francisco called Harris. A fabulous steak, the best caesar salad I've ever tasted (ice cold and lots of garlic) and a wonderful glass of cab. I've relived this meal in my head many times.
I am a beginner and have no specialties other than some things I learned from my Russian Jewish mother -- like making a great sweet and sour cabbage borscht, brisket, etc.
It's one of the greatest pleasures in life -- need I say more?
