Name at least three of your favorite cuisines

Italian, Mexican, Thai, French, Japanese, Chinese, all Middle Eastern, Indian...

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Tel Aviv... Comfortable, climate, friendly atmosphere, easy to access transportation, price point is good, and food is from around the world is pretty much farm-to-table and absolutely great!

Describe the most memorable meal you've ever had

I've eaten a lot of Thai food in my life and one of my favorite dishes is Pad Thai and I've had many a good one, however, the Pad Thai I had at one restaurant in Tel Aviv was over the top, out of this world delicious... to me! There have been other memorable means, to be sure, but today, this is the one that immediately came to mind.

What is your cooking level? Beginner, intermediate, advanced, professional, etc... and which type of cuisine is your specialty?

Please tell the group a little bit about your interest in food and cooking

I watched my mother and grandmother cook Italian food as a child. It was not the Italian food that I see in restaurants, however. I learned to cook on my own, pretty much, from tasting food and trying to recreate it at home. I like simple, tasty dishes for everyday, but enjoy taking the time to make a great scalloped potato dish or a fun lasagna when I can find homemade lasagna sheets.

I enjoy a great meal with a fun group of people who also enjoy cooking. It's always a good time to be in the company of those who enjoy doing what you most enjoy.
