Japanese, Lebanese/middle eastern, Korean, Thai, and nothing beats authentic mexican to fill in the gaps when you're just plain hungry.
I'm still looking. San Miguel de Allende is pretty great. Germany and Italy… awesome. Korea I like a lot. Still want to explore more of Europe… the list goes on.
Hard to pick. Somewhere between an amazing sushi dinner at a sushi bar built in the home of an Itamaesan in a neighborhood in Japan, and the intense appreciation of rough boiled red potatoes in a fire-lit stone and mud house in Nepal after trekking all day.
Intermediate. I cook healthy food for myself with lots of vegetables and either chicken or bison, but I'm in a rut, and need to learn some new flavor combinations and recipes. I also like to bake acorn squash, I make a mean miso soup from scratch, and I do a good broiled salmon with lemons.
The above kind of covers it. I'd love to expand my repertoire and meet nice people.
I'm an L.A. native. I had my first sushi in Little Tokyo as an 8 year old. Since then I've seen L.A. grow into a global gastronomes paradise.
