Well, I've had a lot of memorable meals, but the most recent was at Le Pigeon in Portland, OR. A truffle risotto appetizer (to-DIE-for), venison tenderloin with purple brussel sprouts and foie gras profiteroles with caramel sauce and sea salt.
Intermediate - I guess Cuban is the closest I come to specialty. I'm always trying to learn new styles and cuisines.
Growing up, I watched my grandmother cook with awe and admiration. No measurements, no "technique" per se, but a whole lot of heart. I hope to pass that on to my friends and family now.
