Korean because it's my native 'tongue' so to speak. The first food I ever had was Korean so, it is that Korean food brings me back home. I also love Vietnamese food. It's the simplicity and the fragrant aroma of the broth and herbs. Lastly, I'm not sure what cuisine this would fall under but, I love organic, sustainable, local simply prepared food. And I like mediteranean and italian cuisines as well.
Any place near the water...
I had the most amazingly savory pizza on a flatbread in the little town of Los Alamos, CA. I also ordered a salad of blanched kale with thinly sliced cauliflower, thin shavings of cheese, blue potatoes, roasted almonds in a light vinaigrette dressing. It was so wonderful that I plan to go back for more. The drive is worth it.
I think I'm at intermediate level. I don't have a specialty yet. I just enjoy cooking.
