Dan Glover's winery, L'Objet Noir, was born from a passion for French Burgundies that developed during his career as an LA music writer and producer. When he realized he couldn't afford to drink these revered and expensive wines every day, he decided to make them!

After relocating to Healdsburg, California, Dan honed his winemaking chops at Clos du Bois, Armida and Dutcher Crossing. His first solo vintage was in 2008, dedicated to his muse: Pinot Noir. Dan is committed to making wines that are meant to go with food versus what he calls, "getting drunk" wines. He uses minimal intervention winemaking techniques, such as relying on native yeast fermentation and limiting new oak for aging. He sources his grapes from vineyards that are as close to organic and sustainable as possible.

Dan revels in the bliss of what the right wine paired with the right food can evoke in all the senses, especially when it's shared in just the right company. For him, that's what it's all about!

For this meetup, we will have four wines.

Dan will pour L'Objet Noir:

2010 Pinot Noir, Bacigalupi Vineyard, Russian River

2009 Pinot Noir Reserve Cuveé: Anderson Valley, Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast

and Santa Maria Valley

I will also be pouring two mystery whites made by another AA winemaker.

Dan is generously offering his wines at a 10% discount the day of the event.
