Angular JS: A Super Heroic JavaScript Framework by Hattan Shobokshi

In this presentation we'll look at Angular JS, a javascript framework that lets you build dynamic JavaScript heavy web applications using the MVC pattern. These applications are very clean, testable and modular. We'll look at some of the features in Angular including support for data binding, routing, controllers, services and more. Angular is also one of the the few JavaScript frameworks that makes dependency injection easy, so we'll look into how we can inject services into our controllers and how to test them. Lastly, I'll show you how to use Angular with an ASP.NET MVC web application and utilize Web API for data access.

Hattan Shobokshi is a Microsoft Community Contributor, Speaker & Senior Software Engineer. Hattan is responsible for developing applications on a variety of platforms including web and mobile devices. He is a passionate software architect that is focused on delivering scalable applications that adhere to industry best practices. Hattan is experienced in .NET technologies, with a particular expertise in ASP.NET MVC & web technologies. He regularly presents at local user groups and code camps. Michael Chiang is the President of the Los Angeles .NET Developers Group (www.ladotnet.org). He is also the LA Regional Director for Crescent Solutions (www.crescent.net), a leading provider of technical and IT staff augmentation solutions. Michael started his career in HR/Recruiting/Staffing in 2005 at Robert Half Technology. At RHT, he achieved success as the #6 ranked contract recruiter and left the company as the #1 Recruiting Manager in the Western Zone. Michael also is a current teen mentor (www.fulfillment.org) and Junior Achievement Teacher in Career Economics.

Prior to his career in Staffing, Michael was the Information Technology Director for a 300 million dollar services firm. He also dabbled as a ColdFusion Developer and Webmaster. He currently lives in Hollywood, CA with his beautiful wife Mimi and handsome bulldog Winston.
