Thanksgiving with the Girls :)

  • Nov 22, 2012 · 4:00 PM

Hi Girls,

Okay, it seems like we are doing Thanksgiving dinner and movie night - my place in the 9005 (West LA - Century City). The menu is the following:

Traditional Turkey Dinner a la Ralph's: (Nanda and Angela)

>> 1 10–13 lb. Private Selection Fully Cooked Oven Roasted Turkey

>> 2 24 oz. Wholesome@Home Mashed Potatoes

>> 1 32 oz. Dressing/Stuffing

>> 1 24 oz. Gravy

>> 1 12 ct. Van De Kamp Brown and Serve Dinner Rolls

*I will make some cranberry sauce and maybe some green beans, sweet potato salad and whatever else I may have time for. :)

It should be more than enough for us, so we just need a few things on the side. If you want to take care of another aspect of the turkey bonanza, we could use:

*wine - some red and some white to enhance the mood - Kathya

*a pumpkin pie and a pecan pie - Tyla

*someone could get the soft drinks - Coke/Diet Coke, juice, what you like...

*Vodka with some orange juice because I always get complaints from the heavy drinkers... LOL... I will also have some mixers. :)

*less traditional but a fruit plate or cheese plate would be great as appetizer while we wait for the rest of the stuff to get warm...

I'm looking forward to seeing you girls! :)

Email me or comment below about what you'd like to bring... Thanks.

Just read the e-mail and that def. sounds like enough food for us! Not sure how much the dinner is but as it sounds like a feast, I'm sure it'll be good for a few of us to pitch in so I'll do that :)

Do you want to do one of them instead? So you don't have to do so much? Either 2 pies (maybe a pumpkin and a pecan) OR 2-3 bottles of wine... If you brought one of those, someone else could bring the other. :)O

Hi, I don't really have a preference. If we're on for dinner and a movie, I'll bring cookies, and some veggies and dip:)

Nanda can we use your oven or should we bring everything pre-cooked? I can bring biscuits and green bean casserole

Cooked would be best, then you can warm it up in the microwave or the oven. :)

Wow Nanda...it's like you read my mind as I was just thinking that I wasn't sure what to do with myself over Thanksgiving!

I like volunteering but I think the idea of having Thanksgiving dinner is more cosy so that's my pick. Thanks for thinking of this!

We talked about it with a few girls in the last few days and everyone seems to like the idea of Turkey Day with the girls... I've hosted a dinner 4 (?) years ago for the girls and it was fun. I'm excited to do it again! :)
