National Beer Day

  • Apr 7, 2013 · 5:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

After 13 dry years, it must have been an incredible celebration.  April 7th 1933 marked the crack in the 13 year experiment that was Prohibition.  The Cullen-Harrison Act went into effect at midnight of April 7th 1933 allowing the sale of low alcohol (4%) beer - claiming it was not intoxicating.

What better reason to join us for a beer and celebrate the 80th anniversary of beer sales - and the beginning of the end of Prohibition.

This place has a great beer selection as well as good sausages, chili and salads - not fancy but well done.  Those that have been before can attest to the quality of the beer.

Realized I had 3 happy hours in a row, which might be a bit much.

As much as I would love to celebrate this, I have to work Sunday afternoons.
