Very good. Learned lots of things i did not know. Have always associated Hancock Park w/ the neighborhood btwn Wilshire & Melrose, East of Highland. Did not realize it is the actual park where Geo. Page Museum and LACMA are located.

kat, I did not realize that either. I thought we were going looking at houses.
Everybody got in and there were lots of seats available. They had added 2 rows in the back because of the bookings, but there were lots of No Shows.
The information given in the slideshow was quite interesting. It was hard to hear Ms.McNassor when we were along Wilshire but I did try to stay close to her to catch as much as I could. I was fascinated by the boxes of earth excavated from the parking garage site. It is rich in prehistoric information. Thank you for posting this event.
The slide presentation in the auditorium was interesting. Unfortunately, once outside, it was difficult to hear our knowledgeable tour guide; she really didn't have a voice that projects, and I'm not one to “crowd-in” around a speaker. So admittedly, I bailed about half-way and actually spent an hour at the Page Museum (my first time!) to learn about the fossils and the “tar-pits.” The museum was great. So it turned to to be a really nice afternoon for me.

I totally enjoyed it. The talk in the auditorium was great, but what was said on the walk, I had a hard time hearing. Interesting information and enjoyable day!
