Thought some of you might find this interesting - I just updated the meetup site's profile photo with a cool photo I found of Ingrid Bergman walking and driving through downtown L.A.'s Bunker Hill around 1967. If you click on the profile photo, you can see the other photo. The area was definitely in a transitional period, all of the original BH structures were already gone but the building boom was just about to begin.
Best to all
**I Should have included the direct link to the site on my previous email:

The History of Los Angeles Meetup Group was created for people who are interested in learning & exploring the city's rich history and culture. Yes! Los Angeles does have a full, and complicated history and a diverse culture. It should...indigenous people lived in the area for thousands of years before the Los Angeles was founded, and than it existed under the government of 3 different nations, Spain, Mexico, and the U.S. -in fact, all 3 nations are even included in the city's official seal. Ad of course we're a melting pot as we have people here from all over the world. The Meetups include tours, special events, book discussions, films, lectures, or any other events around town involving the history and culture of L.A. We look forward to seeing you soon.
