I love to do all kinds of outdoor activities and I am usually doing something every weekend. Originally from Norway and enjoy all the South Western US has to offer. I have been organizing Meetup events for various groups since 2008.
Any outdoor aktivity or sport, as well as, the occational social get-together, like a dinner, or going bowling etc.
I am sort of a "Jack of all sports, master of none". I enjoy variety and feel that it makes life more interesting so I don't focus on any one ativity/sport. I'd say the activities I do the most are hiking, mountain biking, and road biking, but I am also fairly proficient in kayaking, backpacking, inline skating, orienteering, cross country skiing, and alpine skiing.
Hello! Just got your welcome letter. Joined the group because I did a hike with Paul last month and he told me he was moving his hikes here. If you are open to cross postings with my group, Foodikers, then I would be more than happy to lead hikes/outings/camping trips, etc with your group. I'm doing a trip to New Zealand that only has 3 people on it because my group is relatively new and small. Let me know if you are open to crossposts:-) Otherwise...see you on the trail! Ilia
What is the gain on this hike, not worried about the distance. Thanks.
Hi Stein, and welcome to our gaming group. We have our big year end gathering this Saturday from 12-9pm, with around 50 people expected. We play all sorts of games, including many conflict/empire building ones that take two or three hours (or more!). We look forward to gaming with you soon! (Off topic, my wife was in Norway for about 18 hours this summer for a wedding--she didn't get a chance to see much, but she liked what she did see!)
this is a great website for searching for cycling routes and maps. I used it all the time in New England and here as well. People create different maps and upload it on there. They even have iphone app, really handy to get elevation as well! http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/...
It was nice speaking with you yesterday about bikes and upcoming events. I look forward to learning about the upcoming camping events/kayaking/whatever else you may have brewing.
See you soon.
Hi, Wed after work 18-25 play beach volleyball from 4:30 till sundown @ Ocean Park Beach Santa Monica. We have 3 doubles courts & 1-2 courts of people playing 3x3 or 4x4.Your welcome to join us alone or bring 1-2 friends. To gain skills some do drills. I meet 100 people/yr playing vb - about 50 are from Europe. I plan to visit people in Sweden, Germany, France & Italy. Some of us go sailing, kayaking/canoeing or have a BBQ or potluck. Fun & laugh add to the experience. Charles
Now that I read your new post, I'm not sure if I'm at optimum fitness to do this hike. Will there be others who are a bit slower?
BTW, I haven't heard back from my friend, so if you need to take her space, go ahead.
