Progressive Friends is a political and social club for liberals in the Los Angeles area. Whether you're a Democrat, Green, left-leaning Independent, Progressively Unaffiliated, or unabashedly Socialist, this group's for you! Feel like you can't talk to your family, close friends or co-workers about politics at all? You can with us! Always have to hide your leftist views from loved ones? Not here! We let our Lib flag fly high and have fun too! Let's share our ideas for making our country a better, more humane place, and make lots of new friends. Our group is for all ages.

Activities will include our monthly Coffee and Conversation Meetups, as well as political rallies, lectures, movies and fun social events, such as nightlife, concerts, hiking, museums, wine tasting and other mixers. Members are encouraged to come up with event ideas. To help defray the costs of keeping the group going, I will ask for event and membership fees. Most events, such as Coffee and Conversation, will be $1. However, I won't ask for a donation for certain events, such as Drinking Liberally or events I publicize that are organized by other groups. If you plan on attending a lot of events over the year, you can pay a $5 fee for the entire year and be exempt from per-event fees.
