What's your preferred LARP style? (Live Combat or Theater Style)

Live Combat, though I don't really care either way.

How long have you been LARPing?

This will be my first time

What help would you provide others in the LARP community?

I'm good and designing and making clothes, I guess. I can do or have a contact who can do just about anything that needs to be gotten done.

Do you have any special skills you are willing to donate to help with promoting LARP in this region?

I'm determined and will go to great lengths to get things done. I am very resourcefull. I'm also good at recruiting, I would like to believe. Anything within my power is up for grabs.

Hi! I'm Mary, but everyone calls me Shi(she). I love RPGs and I love going out in garb. I do so whenever I can. ^.^ I got interested in LARPing after I read Little Brother for my school's Reading Bowl.

What Mary is saying about this Meetup Group

It's really a fabulous way to get information and meet other LARPers!

Yes... Safe. Lol. We will focus on moderate style combat since it is the most widely accepted category. As far as any styles, nothing really translates well into larp; you just kind of develop a feel and sureness with the weapon you hold and from there you will start to see yourself developing your own unique style.

No garb, we are a casual group. There will be plenty of times and places to dress up later though ^_-. May 5th I should be announcing the start of the Fighter's guild fighter practice in Marietta so it will be fun. The practice will be every Thursday from 7 to 10 most likely... I am having trouble finding a good park to do this in though. >< lol

Hi Shi! Thanks for joining the group. Sorry about all the silly questions they make you answer, they were stock from the SoCal system and are used to probe. We like to see where people are at as far as their interest in the hobby so we can better help them along. I bet you will find all sorts of useful stuff here in the months to come! ^_^
