Pacific Palisades Neighborhood Pack Walk

  • Feb 23, 2013 · 10:00 AM
  • Meet at Temescal Canyon Road/Bowdoin Street

Let’s change the perception of one person, one community at a time!

This pack walk is not much about distance, but rather a walk with our well-behaved dogs along the neighborhood of Pacific Palisades for approximately an hour. Meet where Temescal Canyon Road and Bowdoin Street cross (just south of Sunset Boulevard and across Palisades High). Free parking along Temescal Canyon Boulevard; please obey street signs.

LARPBO Pack Walk Guidelines:
# 1 All dogs must be on a secure collar and leash or e-collar. Prong collars should be backed up with a carabiner. Short leashes are recommended (less than 6 feet).

#2 PLEASE NO NOSE TO NOSE CONTACT (dog to dog that is). We recommend maintaining a six-foot distance.

#3 Please bring doggie poo bags.

#4 Make sure you bring water for you and your dog.

#5 One handler per dog.

*All breeds welcome - just fairly well behaved especially on this walk (this goes for all dogs).

* There will be lots of foot traffic, bicyclists, roller bladers, skate boarders, and several others dogs. If your dog tends to be reactive to any of these distractions, please be EXTRA mindful and prepared.

* Please read the full basic LARPBO rules of conduct if you have additional questions in the discussion forum.

Hey, wanted to see how long the walk/hike is going to be so I know if I should bring Cali's back pack or not.

This is a neighborhood walk so it may be about an hour and a half to 2 hours. It will be fun! The backpack is up to you really I love them for convenience lol

    Hello Everyone,
Before I RSVP, is everyone alright with me bringing my puppy Cashis.
    He is WGS/LAB.
A Pit he is not...(shhhh, he doesn't know it yet!).
    Please advise.
    Thank you,
    ~Sandra & Cashis~

Absolutely! All breeds are welcome, we do not discriminate. All we ask is that all dogs are up-to-date with shots. Hope to see you and Cashis on Saturday!

I know it says one handler per dog, but is it possible, since it might be Cali's first time, that both myself and my boyfriend are present for this walk? She is much more comfortable in new areas with the both of us present. Also, it is super convenient because we plan to see a relative in Santa Monica.

Hi Emily! Please have your bf join us. Griffin is right: each dog must have his own handler.

One dog = one or more people

      Hope that clarifies.
