Saturday Training Classes (CGC Based)

This is a group-oriented class that focuses on the skills needed for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification (we offer CGC evaluations throughout the year).

During class, we work on beginner to intermediate skills, including aggressive and selective behaviors.

Members can pop in for a class at their leisure for $10 per class. If you want to make this your regular training session, we offer one-year training membership for $300, which entitle you to unlimited training classes through LARPBO.

We’ve got a few forms all members must complete, so for your first class, please bring:
- A New Member Form
- A Participant Release of Liability
- A copy of your dog’s current rabies vaccination record.
- A copy of your dog’s license.

You can also scan and email these documents to [masked]. If you’re a current member, please make sure you’ve sent us these forms.

We look forward to seeing you and your dog!

Please call[masked] if you have any questions.

Great class. I'm aiming to win the Last Dog Standing! Or maybe at least be with the last 5. :)

Thank you everyone for your informative responses. I won't be able to bring her this weekend, as I have a service to attend, but I can the following weekend. Look forward to meeting you!

I found one of my dog's on the street last year and she's terrible on the leash. She gets very excited when she sees other dogs and jumps in the air and starts crying. I haven't taken her to any regular dog training classes, as I am sure she wouldn't be allowed due to her breed. I took her to Dog Man, but she's terrified of men and he's a rather intimidating, loud presence for someone like her and didn't seem to be a good solution for her. My other dog was trained/socialized in New York, but this girl has proved to be a challenge for me. I have tried the prong collar and choke to no avail. Do you think your classes could help? Next solution is an expensive dog training/socialization camp. Sorry for the lengthy note. Thank you!

Hi Alison. we have worked and rehabed several dogs like you describe, it just takes some time & Patience and yes, she is welcome!! I would recommend showing up 20-30min early, walking her the perimeter of the park area so she can relax a bit. please check in with a trainer at the tent for some pointers and we can also see where your dog is at reaction-wise. if you only work her on the perimeter of class the first few times, thats ok - it still helps her and we will be there to help you. I look forward to meeting you!

Hi Alison. I'm fairly new. Rescued a pit in oct & started classes in Feb. my first class I had blisters on my hands from Bella jumping & twisting with excitement. I wanted to quit but quickly saw her progress. I wore gloves the next couple times but now she's so much better. She's still a bit much at the beginning but once we get working I can actually let go of the leash & she'll sit. It can be super frustrating, but so worth it. I hope it works out for you.

    Hi,
I had a question about whether my boyfriend needed to feel out the release and liability form to take August this Sat to training class. I already filled everything out, and showed he had his rabies, spay, and licensing. Please let me know bc I would like to have August make it Sat even though will be out bc of work.
    Thanks
