Learn Quadcopters & Multirotors 101

This Meetup is a hands-on Introduction to Multirotors (Quadcopters/Hexacopters/Octocopters and All things UAVs/MAVs/Drones)

We will be assembling and flying your quadcopter or hexacopter of choice. Looking for a quick intro?

Please visit

The goal is to introduce you to Multirotors. In our hands-on Lab, you can build your first Multirotor from a Quadcopter, Hexacopter or Octocopter. Past attendees have needed just 1 ½ classes to complete their builds.

This class will cover basic principles, individual component function, complete assembly, controller configuration, testing and troubleshooting.

Multirotor assembly kits and parts can be purchased from http://Ctrl.Me as every LA Robotics Member is eligible for a 10% savings discount on any kit when using coupon code checkout ‘Meetup’ in the shopping cart on the top right of the website.

Please make sure that you choose PICKUP for delivery if you wish to use the coupon and Contact us if you have any questions.

There is absolutely no requirement to purchase kits or parts from, but your support is greatly appreciated.

CLASS FEE: We changed the fee structure to $20 per build - not per class - (you may include up to 3 people building one Multirotor) to cover essentials like, tools, solder, heat shrink, drinks and addtional Ctrl.Me staff to assist you with anything.

If you would like to observe, network and inquire more, there is no charge for visiting our showroom.

TOOLS: Please bring your own soldering iron if you have one, if not, that is okay too. We have you completely covered.
