I've been a programmer for years focused in the video game industry. I'm currently in school for Robotics. I started this group for everyone who has an interest in robots and electronics, regardless of education or career background.
Humanoids! Cyborgs have always fascinated me and I am currently working on a sensor suit. I am also a NAO developer and plan to do a lot with the platform using game engines and virtual environments.
Absolute adoration. I have always tinkered with Legos and computers. I started programming (in Basic) at age 8 and have moved up from there.
Mainly, I'm interested in meeting other enthusiasts who want to work on various projects together. I'd like a group where beginners can come, watch and learn along side advanced professionals who have years of experience.
The members are what make the club so much fun. I learn something new every time we get together.
I just joined the group, and suggested a seminar that I thought you and all of the members would be interested in. Let me know that you got it.
Anika, I'm an organizer of the StarLight Festival, a science and Astronomy festival in Big Bear this May. I wanted to see if the group was interested in participating? Here's a link to our temporary website while ours is being built. http://starlightfestival.com/ Please email me so I can fill you in, there will be lots of robotics etc.
HAY O Brien, love to see your work sometim. Post me THANKS -BY!
HAY, Just joined - new to r/bots - touchn base with ever one - hope to learn ,shair & injoy !
What a wonderful thing that you have done for us all
What was the name of your kickstarter circuit board project again?
I posted Spacecraft Tech Expo that starts May 21 next month. Sorry for such short notice but free registration ends soon. I don't know when free registration ends.
Hope your doing well.
Westec registration is open now - believe its in October.
I'm closer to launching the network between universities.
I want to have high school and middle school kids see if they can design 3D printers and have college students design a wire fed 3D printer. Having a student team competition may offer some kids tuition free scholarships.
Can students design & make 3D printers to not cost over $400 for a printer head & parts to make things 24"x24"x36"?
Hope your doing well.
Hello Annika, I suggested Jet Propulsion Lab Open House in July but don't have time to ask more than you and a few other people if they want to go. If you need a guest speaker to talk about design specifications for airplanes & UAV's I can help some Sunday meetup. Since weight & balance is critical for fixed wing designs that can be part of the talk but it may take 10-25 minutes for each topic if people ask more questions. An out of balance UAV/robot may use 20%-30% more energy than if balanced.
