I've been a programmer for years focused in the video game industry. I'm currently in school for Robotics. I started this group for everyone who has an interest in robots and electronics, regardless of education or career background.
Humanoids! Cyborgs have always fascinated me and I am currently working on a sensor suit. I am also a NAO developer and plan to do a lot with the platform using game engines and virtual environments.
Absolute adoration. I have always tinkered with Legos and computers. I started programming (in Basic) at age 8 and have moved up from there.
Mainly, I'm interested in meeting other enthusiasts who want to work on various projects together. I'd like a group where beginners can come, watch and learn along side advanced professionals who have years of experience.
The members are what make the club so much fun. I learn something new every time we get together.

I'm closer to launching the network between universities.
I want to have high school and middle school kids see if they can design 3D printers and have college students design a wire fed 3D printer. Having a student team competition may offer some kids tuition free scholarships.
Can students design & make 3D printers to not cost over $400 for a printer head & parts to make things 24"x24"x36"?

Hello Annika, I suggested Jet Propulsion Lab Open House in July but don't have time to ask more than you and a few other people if they want to go. If you need a guest speaker to talk about design specifications for airplanes & UAV's I can help some Sunday meetup. Since weight & balance is critical for fixed wing designs that can be part of the talk but it may take 10-25 minutes for each topic if people ask more questions. An out of balance UAV/robot may use 20%-30% more energy than if balanced.
Good day. Please I am new to robotics and I have interest to Communicate with a robot from my laptop web page based interface and get on board sensor information using a Wi-Fi link. But I have little knowledge of robotics and programming language. Please I want to know how you can assist me to achieve this aim.
