What kinds of robotics projects are you most interested in working on?

I'm interested more in the controllers of said robotic projects than their function - that aside, I'd like to work on a project that has a practical purpose!

How would you describe your experience with robots?

Minimal. I got my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego. Over there I had 3 design classes involving robotics - two of which I learned from significantly. One of these involved building two mechanical turntables operating under PID control to transport balls between each other. In an optional design class I built and designed the controller for a self-righting miniature segway, an unstable system. I have a link to the project: That is the extent of my robotics knowledge!

What do you hope to gain from this Meet-up group?

I want to gain more experience in the field of robotics, and get some personal and professional satisfaction from the building process.

I'm a 22 year old mechanical engineer currently working in aerospace.
