The Practitioners Guide to Cloud Security

Title: The Practitioners Guide to Cloud Security Abstract: Security is a chief concern among cloud adopters, and an inhibitor to realizing a great ROI. Cloud threats elude your traditional security apparatus, which fails to effectively and efficiently extend to both public and private cloud infrastructure. This new infrastructure we call “cloud” requires a new approach to security – a shift in both perspective and process. At this Meetup, we’ll explore building and managing a scalable cloud security toolset (tools to use / steps to take / etc.), offering practical advice to securing your cloud and answering the $64,000 question: Who's responsible for your cloud's security? Bio: Meizlik is a security veteran with more than a decade of experience advising some of the world's largest enterprises, including more than half the Fortune 50. He is a recognized expert in IT security, with specialization in cloud and information security. Meizlik routinely speaks at conferences, including the 2012 and 2011 RSA Conferences in San Francisco, and is quoted frequently in the press. He holds bachelors and master’s degrees from the University of Southern California.
