Good things about the route: - the speed limit along the route is good, one section by Dockweiler which might be 45, but slower there is fine - some pretty places along the route, we can stop for lunch in Redondo and coffee somewhere on the way back
Bad things about the route: - Unlike heading north, it's not all coastal, we're 2-4 blocks inland 80% of the time - Plenty of lights in the beach communities.
We may still modify the route a bit, see discussion thread to participate in that.
Google has it as about 31 miles each way, or about 1.5 hours each way.
“ Had a great time! Thanks to everyone for coming on such short notice. Eight of us made the trip down to Redondo Beach for some lunch and a coffee in Venice on the way back. Hope to see you all again soon.
And enjoyed meeting the new guys, Don and Moz (sp?). ”
“ Great route with a combination of riding on different types of road, with plenty of scenery by the ocean. I hadn't been down that route before; it was great. It was also easier for us to stay together with a smaller group. ”
“ Fun ride. I am a new rider and was able to keep up comfortably, and the group waited for riders whenever necessary. Good group of people. I had a good time. ”
