The beautiful Griffith Park light parade starts on December 8 and runs through the 30th. As we all know the holidays get crazy and people are heading out of town, so lets get the light fest off to a scoot-tastic start on OPENING NIGHT, December 8th! We will meet at or around 7:15 at the Glendale & Fletcher Starbucks, 2560 Glendale Boulevard ([masked]) hang out until 8pm and then ride through the park! We can all go our own way after our scoot through the park or? .. I am open to suggestions for a quick bite to eat or a different Starbucks or ??? Let us know your idea in your response.
DETAILS: 13th Annual Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Griffith Park Light Festival, Scoot through on December 8, 2008, meet at Starbucks at 7:15 - leave at 8pm to ride the lights :)

I've posted a rather poor video with some "highlights" of the ride here: http://snurl.com/7xryp

Really great time. We all had the chance to park in front of Starbucks and hangout for about 45 minutes before we did a slow ride through the light festival in Griffith Park. After some of us went to downtown LA for the LA Live lights show, some of us went to dinner at Mimi's and some of us went home... Good times, great folks!

I did not know anyone an felt great about the ride. That says it all. Thanx to all
    •  We had a large turnout from a variety of sources: this group, ModernVespa, ModernBuddy, Vespa Club of Los Angeles, etc. A lot of really nice scoots; more Vespa LXVs than I've ever seen in one place. The ride was pretty slow, as expected, but fun. I only wish we'd made more concrete arrangements for an extended ride or post-ride gathering. A lot of people split off after the lights.
    •  Not much of a ride. . . . riding the brake in Griffith Park. My fault for not knowing what the ride was about. If I had known that it was just a 2min ride to the park and a 30min ride your break session I wouldn't have attended.
    •  Had a great time. Saw some faces that I hadn't seen in a long while. Nice mix of bikes.
