I am an abstract painter and fine art photographer. Street photography is new to me. LA is such a diverse, vibrant, and exciting city in which to explore and experience new photo opportunities.
Meet like-minded people, find new locations, and benefit from a shared learning with other photographers.
Great way to experience this great city, improve my photography, and share insights and experiences with other photographers.

Some photographers use a tripod to shoot some photos. With one shot opened up 1-2 stops to get details more in shadows. Then use photo editing software to have more details in shadow areas. I think Ansel Adams found a way to expose negatives so he can extend enlarger light to expose more in shadows so his photos looked so incredible. This improves photos so much I believe a Casio takes 2 photos in one shot with one of their pocket cameras when handheld to improve shadows.
Hello Helen, Like you I have not taken many photos for years. I shot about 400 photos of a friend playing beach volleyball and had to delete about 300 photos shot on continuous to catch shots not possible to catch any other way. I'm interested in shooting photos of women dressed like pinup art on World War II airplanes with the art on airplane visible and closeup of her without the art visible. And think it may be fun to shoot with another photographer. Most photos will be shot at museums.
