Announcing a new Meetup for Street photography in LA!

What: The 10 minute photo challenge (not a meet up-

When: Sunday, May 16,[masked]:00 AM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

To help us evolve better in photography, I'm plannign out this series of assingments for summer/ spring which will also help us to explore the works of others, every week. Each assignemtn comes with a reward ;)

Came across this idea on the internet and found it amazing! (Modified it a little though).

It never ceases to amaze me the photographic opportunities that you can find only 10 Minutes from Home, and in that?s why this challenge is to get you to practice your black and white photography skills 10 minutes from home. Walk, drive or bike but exactly 10 minutes. Not 9 and not 11, exactly 10. And you have can't shoot landscape. "We are candid photographers". Shoot life, people, substance.. yes it would be a building in decay a passing car or newspaper lying across the street. Run your imagination. It has to carry a story. IF there's nothing wait. It didn?t matter if you lived in a city or in the middle of the country.

This challenges us to be become patient, aware and observant and use with we have at our end. 10 mins.. even if there's a perfect shot a few feet away.. stick where you are :)

Here's the best part. With the help of my photography teachers( Who have been teaching photography for years) we will pick two best and they will get a FREE $25 gift card from Nationalphotolab.com for printing services.

Again, 10 minute is the rule. Please post your photos in the " Assignment 1" folder and include information about how it was shot.

Good luck to you all..
