This shot is very nice, Chris. Wonderful textures & composition with the vanishing line, etc. The color contrast is also nice but not overdone. Curious, did you desaturate the background, or is that just the natural environment? Regardless, I like...

Beautiful Chris. Perfect skin tone. The photo just "is", meaning that I don't get distracted on shortcomings or what's missing so it gets to just open up and engage me in a series of questions revolving around the process I'm seeing: "What's he doing with his hands? Tucking away or retreiving something.?" "How did he rip his jacket?" ... "What corner's he on?" I want to find out his name, hear his story... find out if he's happy. Like I said, very engaging. Question: did you sit and really shoot a series of frames where you had time to think through the process or was it a spontaneous glimpse where you just acted based on the thousands of frames youi shot before? My bet's the latter ... and this it took very little cropping, etc. Just a guess though, but that may be due to how natural it looks in the first place so I expect the moment of capture to be likewise.

Pretty much I saw , I shot,, I did maybe 4 frames .. most from a low angle. I generally crop in the camera so I really crop very little unless for a specific reason,,knowing that I would have to enlarge the image and shooting years of 35mm film I learned not to waste the small amount of film area I had, Its pretty much a reflex now

Beautiful. I agree, I love the colors, textures and the vanishing line just adds to the mystery.

Wonderful shot, I love the colors, textures and composition as well. this captures the essence of the moment and is also wonderful portrait of a street subject. Like George said, I really want to know his story.
