This would be publishable if the focus was spot on...makes me wanna hold her!

Just walking by and took a snap shoot no time to really aim and focus.

Glad you didn't miss the moment anyhow. Just would've been almost a Nat Geo type shot if it was focused...& the lady on the right got included for the whole story-telling IMO. Definitely 1,000 words.

Rocky u said: Just walking by and took a snap shoot no time to really aim and focus. SET YOUR CAMERA TO HYPER FOCUS...(PRESET INFINTY WITH YOUR F/STOP SAY F11 WHICH COVERS AROUND 5' TO INFINITY AND BACK OFF SOME...To many questions unanswerd in your pic...why is she crying, where is this...shoot wider you can always crop...but cant add. Remember you have basically 4 type of shots ...WIDE MDM, CLOSE UP and Detail...most published shots tend to be medium coverage with enough ifo to STAND ALONE!

We were ready to leave and have lunch, she was seated at the curb as I pass through the crowd I heard her cry and turn and shot. I was shooting full open onmy last shot, if I had time to compose I surely would. I had a short lens too 24-70 and she was just a few feet from me, too well lesson learned. As you said before always anticipate the shot that will happen and not wait for it happen. Thanks for the tips will keep it in mind for the next one. Point well taken
