Howdy, Net2LA'ers! Four topics are covered below. Scan for the all-cap bold headlines, and read more if interested.JUNE'S MEETUP, NEXT TUESDAY!
You all received an auto-email yesterday reminding that MIX: Net2LA Happy Hour @ The Yard is next Tuesday, June 23, at 7:30pm. Just wanted to extend another personal "Come on out!" We had a great crowd last Happy Hour, and a bunch of new faces.
The Yard will extend their normal Happy Hour specials (which are very economical), and we will voluntarily rotate every 30?40 minutes to make sure everyone gets a chance to talk without having to yell across the table.EXPERTISE EXCHANGE
The Expertise Exchange was a great idea that came out of our last Happy Hour at the Yard. Thanks to Davy Cohen, a new message board has been created to allow Net2LA members to pool/provide talents. Visit the Message Board for a more detailed explanation of the Expertise Exchange
This is a barter system available only to Net2LA members, and I hope, will become a value resource fostering communication and cooperation within the group.THE REFRESHER ON TWITTER
As you may know, last month's Meetup centered on Twitter and we launched the Net2LA Twitter account to give live meeting highlights during Christine's (and the Freelancers Union) presentation.
All this week?and every third week of the month?the Refresher will go out providing one tidbit from the previous Meetup for each day of the week, all conveniently #tagged for all-at-once lookup (this month is #n2laMay). So?Come follow us on Twitter!
You'll get the Refresher every third week of the month, live Meetup highlights, and only a few other important posts throughout the month.JULY'S MEETUP: MEMBER SHOWCASE
In talking to members during the last two Meetups, it seems there are some very exciting projects launching very soon. I'd like to dedicate July's MeetUp to anyone who would like to give a small presentation on a new product, campaign, service, or idea they are/have developed.
To participate, please reply to this email with a brief description of what you'd be presenting, and what you'd like to get (if anything) from Net2LA members (i.e. feedback, critique). If everyone took 15-20 minutes, we'd have time for 5?7 presentations.
Look forward to seeing you at the Yard next Tuesday
