[LAWS] Artist Talk & New Exhibits at CAFAM plus Dinner

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

NOTE: You will need to RSVP directly to CAFAM, as well as here. Details below.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

CAFAM (Craft and Folk Art Museum) recently opened two new exhibits: Scratching the Surface: Contemporary Wood Sculpture and Social Fabric, "an exhibition of seven contemporary artists who confront the problems of mass production and consumption through fiber-based art that incorporates social engagement and public interaction." In addition, on February 17 at 3:00 pm, there is an artist talk by wood sculptor Merryll Saylan who "will discuss her unique approach to working with wood, color, and texture, and also her experience being one of the leading female woodturners in the country."

We will gather at 2:30 in the gift shop area of CAFAM so we can meet and go into the talk together. The talk is free with museum admission ($7 adults, $5 seniors, free to members) BUT ... you will have to reserve a seat for the talk by emailing [masked] .

After the talk, we will take a look at the exhibits and then we'll take a short walk over to The Counter, which has fabulous burgers (including vegan varieties), fries and desserts!

Hope you can join us!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
