Part 2 - The Solution to EVERYONE COMING OUT for some Brits Ex-Pat's Fun!!

While we're limited in Lunch numbers, I wanted to get more of out...So, come join us for the after lunch continuation - stroll around the Brit Week festival at the 3rd Street Prom. We'll meet outside Kings Head at 3pm and wander over.

"Downtown Santa Monica & BritWeek will take over 3 blocks on the Third Street Promenade to host the first-ever Santa Monica Spring Jubilee Celebrates Britweek, a two-day spring festival celebrating the season and everything British.

Britain is renowned for its fantastic culture, arts and entertainment. The Spring Jubilee festival will include the best in spring flowers, plants and accessories, and feature a wide variety of activities with a distinctly British flavor. Visitors will enjoy performances by British artists along with a multitude of children's activities, hands-on demonstrations, street dance exhibitions, concerts, retail events, food and drink, and much more.

And because Britain is known throughout the world for its beautiful gardens, the event will also feature a public landscaping competition with an exciting British theme. Landscape professionals will have the chance to show off their gardening skills and compete for the chance to display their work on the Third Street Promenade during the festival weekend. The landscaping competition will open early 2013. Stay tuned for more details!

Details will be available on www.downtownsm.com"

As always, the MeetUp was great & lovely to see so many people come out! Apologies (though obviously I had no control over it) for the rather disappointing Brit's Week event. Perhaps we should all write the organizers of Brit's Week and tell them what a poor show of it they made on this one.

The Jubilee Promenade was underwhelming.. nothing to do with the meetup, we just met there to participate..it was the organization of the actual event and the participants that was not special, the meetup group was great!
