Intro to Genomikon Class

  • December 7, 2013 · 12:00 PM

This is the second occurrence of this class. First time worked out well. More info and pics here:

Genomikon ( is a technology for rapidly assembling DNA parts. Over the course of a few hours you will assemble a plasmid for making bacteria appear either red or blue. There will be a short presentation on basic biological concepts and the specifics of this technology, followed by the hands on activity. This would be a good class for those who haven't used basic laboratory equipment before as no prior knowledge will be assumed.

Feel free to discuss the details of the class on our mailing list or email Cory.

The cost is $100/person and it's limited to 8 students.

It's set up so you have to pay through Paypal prior to RSVPing. If you really can't do Paypal, email us and we'll work out other forms of payment.

How do I pay first? I don't see a link or anything... Thanks!

When you click on RSVP it should bring up a red button that says "Pay Now". That will take you to the Paypal link. Is it not working for you?

Got it... I was confused by the pay before RSVPing line so didn't click it. I'm all set now. Thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
