Announcing a new Meetup for The Long Beach Pagan Meetup Group!

What: Roll the Bones with R. Eugene Laughlin

When: Sunday, November 21,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Practical Magicka
9741 Flower Street
Bellflower, CA 90706

Divination is the art of seeking insight into specific questions or situations, or to generally foresee and foretell the future. Virtually every culture we know of throughout history developed and used a variety of divination techniques. Common modern divinatory tools include tarot cards, runes, pendulums, and spirit boards. Less common but still practiced techniques include reading tea leaves, scrying into crystals , water, fire, etc., and interpreting signs and omens. This seminar begins with an overview of familiar, and perhaps some not so familiar, divinatory techniques and their apparent common origins in our deep, ancestral past. From there we?ll review the basic psychology of human intuition and discuss how the divinatory systems our ancestors developed and used naturally tap into the intuitive side of human nature. Finally, taking the best from both worlds, a complete, self-contained method for developing a powerful and personal divinatory system from the ground-up will be presented.?

?Dr. Laughlin has studied occult-related topics and actively practiced magick for over 30 years, including variants of Euro-American folk magics, nature-based magick, Neo-shamanic practices and witchcraft, and nearly 20 years of dedicated Hermetic-based ceremonial magick. He has taught individuals and small groups in and around the LA area for about 20 years. Having recently earned a Ph.D. In cognitive psychology, Dr. Laughlin is currently engaged in neurobehavioral genetics research aimed at specifying the biological causes of neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia, attention deficit, and addiction.?
