Status of the Long Beach Pagan Meetup Group

Hey guys-

So, the LB Pagan Meetup group has been going for about 3 years now (I think actually next month will mark the 3 year birthday). I've had alot of fun with the group and made some wonderful friends. But the group isn't really coming together well for meetups anymore, and with other, possibly better meetups in the general area, I'm not sure I want to fight to keep this one alive.

On the other hand, I don't want to see this group, if people do enjoy it and need it, just go away, either.

If you think you have some good ideas on how to reinvent this group, or make it stronger in some way, please contact me. I will consider applications, basically, for the next owner and organizer of this group. Yes, that's right, I'm considering stepping down and giving this group up to someone else.

Sometimes things just need new blood, new ideas, new directions to survive, to flourish. I suspect this is one of those times.

Replies to this message will go to the group at large, so if people want to discuss the fate of this group, you may. If you'd like to 'apply' to be the next owner of this group, please send me an email privately at [address removed] . I haven't decided how I'll choose the best candidate if many people offer themselves up, but perhaps I'll leave it as a poll to the group. Go ahead and email me, and I'll work it out.

Sorry to announce this sort of suddenly to most of you, but this has come after a long time of thought and worry over what I should do. I think this is the best option.

I hope to hear from many of you soon.

Kelly Ness
Organizer, LB Pagans
