My schedule changes because I'm a student, but weekday evenings and early weekend mornings are ideal. I'd like to play one weekday evening (preferably Wednesdays) and 1-2 weekend early mornings (a 6a or 7a start would be great). I'll be in my summer session June and July, so only every other weekend will be available during that time, and then I'll start an internship in September that will open up my Fridays.
When I was playing for my high school team 20 yeas ago and playing tournaments, I'd say I was around a 3.5. Right now I'm going to be very rusty for a while until the muscle memory comes back, but I'm guessing I'll be around a 3.0. I was never a big power player. I tended to be pretty steady, stayed back at the baseline and slugged it out, used a lot of topspin and slice and would try to mix it up and wear my opponents down. I just like to get into long rallies and make it a chess match and a test of endurance, a quality that used to work in my favor but one that I will need to build back up since I've been off the court for so long.
Probably not right now, but I'd be interested in finding out more.
I'm currently a grad student; I played tennis for my high school team, but I have not played in a few years, so I'm rusty. I also hurt my shoulder playing in high school, and it never totally healed, so I'm not looking for anything uber-competitive.
