Oktobertfest- Our First SOs Event- Bring your Significant Other!
Hi Ladies! Come have a cold beer and lots of fun with great music in the City of Concord in Contra Costa County.
This should be a fun event- it's also an event that I thought husbands, boyfriends, significant others, and other friends would like to attend! More the merrier! But don't worry if you don't have a date- they are totally not necessary- or maybe you'll find a date at the event! ;)
My boyfriend goes to this event every year (so I have a feeling he's probably going to wander away at some point...Hehe) and he really enjoys it.
Oktoberfest 2009 will have different music bands perform all day long starting at noon. Some of the musical groups include the Volker Strifler Band, The Squeegees, and The Red Hot Chachkas.
There will be a polka parade costume contest as well as instruction on the polka. Lots of crafts will be available. Don't worry, there will be lots of great food, too.
Most important of all, there will be the Premier Beer Festival. You can buy a pass for this event and sample seven different beers from local micro-breweries.

The easiest way (and safest and smartest way if you will be drinking) to get to Todos Santos Plaza is to take a BART train from other parts of the Bay Area. It is about a five-block walk from the Concord BART station. When you get to the station, look for Grant Street and just walk north on Grant until you get to Todos Santos Plaza.
