Laid Back Lively Ladies Sports' Team!

We are formulating a TEAM! That's right--a Sports' Team! Our group of Laid Back Lively Ladies will meet weekly, every Tuesday evening, in the East Bay, for outdoor/indoor sports fun, whether it be a kickball game, softball game, soccer, drunken t-ball, basketball, or other fun sports!

This is great for those who always wanted to play sports but never did, those who want to loose weight and stay/get active, those who are new in town and want to form new friendships, and those looking for a creative outlet.


The schedule will stay on Tuesday evenings, weekly, but the locations/sports will vary. We will do traditional and non-traditional sports like softball, flag football or trampoline dodgeball! Team Practices/Games will be played against our own group, and will be about 2 hours or less each Tuesday evening. We want regular commitment, but welcome those who can occasionally come as well.

We will have Sports T-Shirts with your individual names put on them. Shirts are $15 each. Please tell us what size you want and the name or nickname you want on your shirt when you sign-up for the Laid Back Lively Ladies TEAM.


In ADDITION, I was emailed today by Group Member Heron (who was at our Game Night Meetup) with this awesome idea that we are incorporating into our TEAM:

"I have a suggestion for a meetup. How about a 60 days biggest loser challenge. I did it last year with another group and it was fun. Everybody puts in $20 and depending on how many participate, you can do Winner takes all or 1st (60%), 2nd (30%), 3rd place (10%). Nothing like cash incentive and friendly competition to keep us on track." --Heron

    See you tonight, Ladies! I'm so excited! No men, no kids--just us! :-) Wear comfortable work-out clothes. We'll do sign-ins/name tags/meet and greet at first, and then we start our own private session by Push-Ups to Pin-Ups Personal Trainers/Owners! This specific meetup is $10/person for the 50 minute private session. All of our weekly activities will be free/low cost! :-) If you are doing the weight loss challenge, wear something you want your before AND after pictures taken in, and bring $20 CASH for the Pot--winners of the weight loss challenge get Cash! 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for percentage of weight loss.     I don't know if we're still looking for a spot but I know that Pleasant Hill Park has a couple baseball diamonds, lots of grass, and basketball hoops. I also haven't seen homeless people hanging around it as well :p

      Hi, Ashley and Shawna! The TEAM and the Weight Loss Challenge are in tandem together. The 60 Day Weight Loss Challenge is the kick-off to our TEAM. We will meet every Tuesday evening for a game/practice against one another. We will do indoor/outdoor activities with our own TEAMmates. The Contest is for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners. To enter the contest, it's $20 in the pot. We are going by percentage of weight loss to determine winners. People who join the TEAM do NOT have to participate in the Weight Loss, and vice versa, although we hope everyone participates in both. :-) I'll be posting the weekly activities for our TEAM as separate Meetups on the Calendar. I have been working on our full calendar diligently, and will post once our TEAM is formulated. :-) We start in 20 days for our First TEAM Meetup. We will first do formalities, T-Shirt Orders, Weigh-Ins for those who are participating in Challenge, Introductions, and then start the first TEAM activity! :-)

I was beginning to feel as if I were locked into an ongoing non stop weight watchers commercial when all I was looking for was having some fun, laughter and exercise playing various sporting events. Unfortunately my dissertation got erased. I'll look forward to meeting you at our first meeting toward the end of the month.

      We are definitely doing percentage for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place Winners. We can keep track of measurements too as we go along, always optional to weigh-in/get measured/join the Fitness Challenge. Team Members can join TEAM without having to do 60/90 Day Challenge. :-)
