Welcome to our Long Beach and Palos Verdes Peninsula Walkers, Etc.
We are a very friendly group that encourage fitness and active living in Long Beach and surrounding areas. We offer walks that will interest all levels of walkers from beginners to advanced. Our activities also occasionally include hikes, bicycles rides, and kayaking, dancing, and yoga. Our approach is holistic: we believe that fitness involves the mind as well as the body. So, we often socialize together, going to restaurants, movies, and other events.
You are invited to share your favorite areas, activities, and events in Long Beach and Palos Verdes Peninsula for inclusion in our calendar. Contact our organizer (Sharon) if you want to be an Event Organizer, which means hosting a one-time or recurring event. It would be great to have a mommy walk, dog walk, marathon trains, or mountain hike on the calendar.
If you want to motivate yourself to walk regularly, the best way is to commit to hosting or co-hosting a regular walk.Recurring events can be posted daily, weekly, monthly, or sporadically. You will attract regular walkers to your events and get to know some really great people.
