Visit The Surrey Hills (With optional camping)

  • Jun 22, 2013 · 10:00 AM

Box Hill & Westhumble station, 15 minutes walk, can be accessed from London, and the Oyster card 465 bus stops near the car park.

This is a Meetup organised by Beata on London Family Veg*n Meetup group, which she thought could be shared with Surrey members.

Beata and her daughter Lili are intending to stay overnight at the Horsley camp site, so if you wish to join them, please do message her or call 07907 577971.

Meeting up at the car park to walk the river Mole stepping stones, then nearby Denbies, finishing off at National Trust Polesden Lacey.

Denbies Wine Estate
This beautiful estate, set in 265 acres, is the UK's largest single estate vineyard. Don't miss the cellar and estate tours.

Polesden Lacey
The house, with its stunning interiors, delightful gardens and superb views across the rolling Surrey hills is waiting to be explored.

Unfortunately Tanners Hatch youth hostel's camp site is full, due to a school visit, so they've suggested their one at Holmbury St Mary: YHA Holmbury, Radnor Lane, Dorking, Surrey RH5 6NW, Tel[masked]

Yes, the Surrey Hills is an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), and it's under an hour by rail from Waterloo :-) Box Hill makes an appearance in Jane Austen's book 'Emma' http://austenacious.c...
