Listening to Rock Me Baby take 2 in the car right now. Killer. Great job everybody!

Communication goes a long way with so much going on for everyone and eliminates bad politics. The recording was very important to everyone involved and more care must be implemented to make sure everyone is on the same page for future projects, this should not happen again if we are to be successful as a team. In the future any projects announced at a session should be posted to this site to avoid any confusion.

I love you guys!! As i said in a previous comment, I feel blessed to be part of this group!" I hope we can do much more together.

      July 3, 2013

    • Sandy T.

I had no idea about someone being upset either. It could not have come from our group. All that were there knew about previously. Unless someone has a real bad memory problem! Lol

      July 3, 2013

  • JOSEPH

Not sure Dave but I heard someone was upset that we were recording and he was not warned ? I understand it is not easy putting this together and I try to make it fun and productive and I still get a kick in the butt!!i have a few ideas to play some gigs on a weekly bases and Dave you know I can make it happen but not sure if I will run into politics for my efforts ...that is about it just a few points I wanted to explain ...

What do you mean Rob? Cringe at what?

      July 3, 2013

    • Robert H.

This was in response to Jeff staement that he phrased it that way, ended up in the wrong conversation stream. The cringing was over my incredibly campy joke.

      July 3, 2013

Agreed let me see what I can do for a few week end gigs ..that is if it is ok for everyone thanks ....

To recap no matter if Chris will or will not do the other songs we will finish the CD ,,,,also as far as when we record I heard someone was upset that he was recording it kinda surprised him? Well I told GRegg that if that person was that upset he could be sent home !!!we can still record ....I think I've done right so far it is not easy to setup such a project I do not need someone to slow us down I want to thank all the other professional members for your input and I won't let you down ,,,,enjoy the music ......Joe...

Yes saw that and have to admit it works.

I'm hoping to finish recording our CD on Wednesday. If Chris hasn't moved his equipment yet, we might have a shot. I'm thinking Summertime Blues and maybe Me and Bobby McGee for Sandy, plus a few others that are on the list.

so thought about it over the w/e. im changing out the pick ups on my strat to do Raptures Delight and I Will Survive.. also found a vintage synth on flea bay. any one know remember how to work it.?

Joe, looking forward to a classic rock session.
just hope the boss will parole me for the extra nite.

OK then, we still have a few more songs for the CD

      June 29, 2013

  • Robert H.

I have to say I'm with Dominic on this one. If I played a Madonna song I would have to spend the next week playing Tool, Zeppelin and Soundgarden just to cleanse my system. But of course I guess compromise should be the order of the day. Really like The Letter but not sure we could jam to it. As long as were talking potential songs I would like to suggest the following possibilities, Train Kept a Rolling(Yardbirds, Zep)
    Your Time is Gonna Come(Zep)
Lemon Song(Still think we could do this, Sandy can hit these high notes and perhaps adapt the lyrics appropriately)
I Just Want to Celebrate(Rare Earth)
Stranglehold(Great jam songs written by one of the worst people on this earth)
Comfortably Numb(Easy song great jam song)
Break on Through or When the Musics Over(the Doors) Rob can you play Smooth(Santana), that would be a cool song to try. I am done with my musical rant, back to the law.

    1 · June 28, 2013

    • Rob M.

Yes I could play "Smooth" if we wanted to do that. I'll toss in a few other ideas. I wouldn't mind doing a few Stones tunes. Tumbling Dice is one I've been playing around with lately. Either the Stones version or Linda Rondstadt's version. Also, Gimme Shelter.

      June 28, 2013

    • Jeff R.

Yes, Stones. Anyone can dance to the Rolling Stones

      1 · June 29, 2013

  • Dominic

DANCE! Yikes.... back in the disco days I learned to play blues guitar so I wouldn't have to dance :)

Miss You!!!We're just having a little fun. No stress! No worries! LOL

      June 29, 2013

    • Sandy T.

I have to tell you I really hated Disco when it first came out. I thought it was tragic! I listen to some of those songs now and they weren't that bad. Too bad I wasn't more open minded then. Miss You is a fun song - Same with Shakedown Street - I'm not saying I could listen to a whole night of it but some. LOL

      1 · June 29, 2013

  • Jeff R.

Joe, all kidding aside, the way I got it from Chris was that what we did last Wednesday was all that he was going to do. He was moving his equipment back to his studio. We still have about 6 songs that we didn't get to. If he is still recording, we're still performing. I know that I speak for the rest of the group. We're still raring to go.

    1 · June 28, 2013

  • JOSEPH

i hope you guys understand this is for the motown session and the songs could be a part of the CD ..and as i said after the project is over you can go back to playing what ever the group decides ..also i will put a new classic rock session together soon !!!..also for the outside gig we will need some dance tunes not everyone will appreciate rock or jazz music ...you also will have the choice of not going to the motown session if that music really does not appeal to you ...again only until the CD is done i want to thanks all the members for the sugestions and ideas bought to the table ...CENTER STAGE MUSIC INC ..PS: the outdoor festival will be done with the help of SCOTT from NOE1 studio ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eva_Cassidy - My new listen to. This lady is incredible. Unfortunately, she passed away when she was 33, in 1996. Definitely worth listening to her cover interpretations. Also listened to Stormy Monday by the various artists (Eva Cassidy) who covered it. That too is worth hearing again and again.

I want to thank Chris for taking the time to make the recording of our songs. Even though I'm not the rock star I've always wanted to be (sic), it's nice to have a recording of the work I've done with such talented musicians! It's now not just something I tell my family I do with you all; it's become real. We have a product now! So grateful to have found all of you!!!! I feel blessed!

crap, not going to be able to make it Weds. i was looking so forward to the recording too. i guess there's always the next time and it will give me more time to learn the songs better.

    June 24, 2013

  • Jeff R.

It would be Live at Leeds. The only problem is that for some reason it seems to fall apart in the middle. There are some of us who are not playing it right (they are not playing the A chord during the vocals). We'll talk about it on Wed. In the meantime, we are ready to go with most of the tunes and the recording should go well. Volumes will have to be lower.

    June 24, 2013

  • Robert H.

Once again it was a great time last week, Sandy's singing was excellent and on many of the songs we sounded good. As Dominic pointed out we continue to be to loud. I would like to be able to play my solos at different volumes, but its difficult because when I play soft I can't hear myself. Perhaps rather than everyone playing bar chords each one of us could play a part of the chord, just my thoughts. Jeff which version of Summertimes Blues are we doing. I prefer Live and Leeds and that's what I have been practicing, your thoughts.
