This Group is meant for all individuals who appreciate the Grateful Dead
(that is, people from all walks of life who are proud to call themselves "Dead Heads") --
and those who want to learn about the awesome music and culture of the Grateful Dead.

We will post and schedule meetups for live-music and other events in and around Long Island/NYC;
share Grateful Dead stories, philosophies, music, and tickets; plan road-trips; and interact and
appreciate the music (and wisdom) of the band together.

Since there are so many Dead Heads here in Long Island (as everywhere), we started this Group
on lucky 11/11/11. To my knowledge we are the first organized Grateful Dead Group to have been
formed on Long Island. I am excited for us all to share fun times and meet great people along the way.

What a long strange trip it's been . . . so let's keep that bus a rollin' . . . .   [-_o]
