Amityville to Captree Park and back

Lets make it a day on the water! Leave from Amityville and paddle east along the Great South Bay under the Robert Moses Bridge and through the Captree Island Marshes to get to Captree Park, where we can stop on the beaches and lunch (or maybe go into the park for lunch?). Then paddle back visiting all the beautiful homes along Captree Island and Oak Island. This is a 22-24 mile trip. PFDs, skirts, and radios please!! Then stay for a evening full moon paddle out of the dinghy shop...

Will Dinghy Shop have rental boats for the Captree paddle Sat., 7/12th?

Liz - I am not sure I need a rental. Still deciding if I want to borrow Patti's. Do we have to notify Dinghy shop that I'm not a sure thing renter ?

Either way they will be there. I've told them we MAY need a rental. So its up to you to decide what you want to do. :)

Best for people who have already done 15+ miles in one day. Been in windy - choppy conditions. And you should have a spray skirt and have worn it before and know how to get out of your boat with it fastened or roll. :)
