I've participated in the 'health-food movement' for almost 50 yrs. I continue to eat healthfully, adjusting to my body's needs and my environs. Adjustments and refinements are the norm. I like to keep current with a 'healthful' eating consciousness.
OMG, I have never seen so much chocolate at one time. I thought I would go into a coma. Can someone explain to me the health benefits of sugar laden, what flour desserts. What is the purpose and mission of becoming a raw vegan? Is it for the health of the individual or the benefit of the companies that have figured out how to include no animal products but are filled with refined food, synthetic and chemical substances? This is not a blanket statement. There were some delicious, healthful dishes. Due to the abundant crowd the food kept coming and coming. What a feast of food and new friends. I have been to several of Matt's Meet-Ups and he is my SCOBY master. I have learned to make Kombucha, Jun Tea, Water and Nut milk Kefir from him and natural soda on my own. I am very interested in food traditions and traditional, nutrient rich food that our ancestors ate. I am glad to be amongst people who have an alternative food consciousness . But I am not sure I agree with all the ideas.
