Please consider joining L.L. Bean Mansfield for our Thanksgiving holiday weekend hike in Borderland State Park on Saturday 11/24. We’ll be working off some of those leftover turkey calories on the Morse Loop. Please arrive by 9:45AM so we can get started on time. The hike will follow well established marked trails through the state park. It’s a relatively flat hike with no appreciable hills. Numerous glacial formations dot the area. Leashed, well socialized, people friendly dogs are welcome in the state park. This hike should run the full 3 hours and cover about 5 miles in distance. Borderland State Park is located at 259 Massapoag Ave, North Easton, MA. We will meet in the left most parking lot adjacent to the park headquarters. There is a $2 parking fee at Borderland State Park.
The minimum age for attending is 8 (Children 8-15 yrs must have a participating adult with them, 16-17 yrs must have a parent/guardian sign participant agreement but do not need to attend).
Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
Dressing in layers works best.
Wear appropriate footwear for hiking.
Please bring water, snacks and any personal medicines and gear you may need as well. These outings are free but you are responsible to have everything you need.
A camera and/or binoculars are always a welcome addition.
Please arrive 15 minutes before hand because we want to get started on time.
