How it Works
• It's a painting event in a bar• They provide everything for painting - just show up!• No painting experience necessary!•
The concept is simple: DRINK & PAINT.
They promise we will have a memorable night with friends doing something new and fun!
We will receive step-by-step instruction from a non-judgmental, professional artist who guides us through a painting from start to finish in about 2 hours or 2 cocktails.
Although they provide aprons, it is recommended that you wear something that you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on. This is not the time to wear a long flowing scarf or the new silk blouse with extra long sleeves! Paint Nite will not reimburse for dry cleaning or replacement of clothing.
*** Drinks are not included and can be purchased at the bar. The Cupping Room Cafe also has a full menu if you would want to order some food. But realize that eating and painting are not easy to do together, so you may want to get there a bit early to get your meal finished before the painting begins.
The painting will start around 7, but we should get there by 6:30 to get our drinks and our seats. I am planning to try to get there by 6 p.m. so I can eat first, if anyone wants to join me. Please post a comment if you are going to meet at 6pm for dinner.
Paint Nite is about having fun with friends. It is a night that is light on the art instruction and heavy on the cocktails and laughs.
So get your discount from Living Social AND book your spot with the event and get ready to DRINK CREATIVELY!!
About the artist who will be teaching us ...
As far back as Nick can remember, he always knew he was going to be an artist. He began his creative process at a very young age drawing his favorite cartoons, as well as creating his own unique characters. Throughout high school , Nick studied fine arts and developed a growing interest in street art and graffiti. Nick graduated from S.U.N.Y Purchase, where he concentrated in the Fine Arts. From there, Nick continued his educational process at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he focused on computer animation and graphic design. Nick is now using his talent to paint and airbrush various murals in residential homes, as well creating paintings and drawings for clients, family, and friends. Currently, Nick has paintings on display in corporate buildings and offices throughout NYC, as well as an exhibtion in the Blue Door Gallery in Yonkers, New York.
