You don't have to be a chocoholic to sign up for this event. I guess many members are going for the drinks, food, and socialising afterwards!!
This afternoon we are heading to the London CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL (free entry) which is a celebration of everything chocolate. We can expect an array of chocolate products such as chocolate bars, truffles and bonbons, as well as chocolate cakes, crepes with chocolate, hot chocolate and even savoury food with chocolate. Some of the best chocolatiers and chocolate companies will be there, there are also special activities such as tutored tastings, chocolate baking demonstrations, book signings and more.
The London Chocolate Festival at Southbank Centre should feel like SEVENTH HEAVEN to chocoholics. Just in time for Christmas 2013, the chocolate festival is a must for lovers of all the wonderful products derived from the cocoa bean. Free to attend and with a dizzying range of chocolatey products on offer, the festival should give you some fresh ideas on how to celebrate Christmas 2013. The Chocolate Festival is a unique event which gives visitors a special opportunity to enjoy a wide range of chocolate related products - as well as fine truffles, bars and bonbons, you will be able to buy savoury food with chocolate, chocolate cakes, pancakes, ice cream, milkshakes and more. This outdoor festival features chocolatiers and chocolate companies, with dozens of stalls selling chocolate-related products including cakes, chocolate-infused savoury treats and kits to make your own chocolate, as well as tastings and demonstrations.
And afterwards? Guess What? The best part is yet to come! We are going to head off for more socialising at a local bar. So it looks like we are going to have a fab day and evening out, generally have a great time chatting with friends.
We meet in the Royal Festival Hall main Foyer towards the river front.
After the Chocolate Festival we are going to a bar very close by, less than ten minutes walk away from the chocolate festival. So at 4.45pm we will meet by the Boris (Barclays) Bikes and make are way to the Thai Silk Bar & Restaurant for some drinks (£2.50 each) or an optional meal (only £10 for 2 courses).
