SPECTACULAR STREET FESTIVAL ALL AFTERNOON and EVENING!!- This is a packed day of outdoor theatre, circus, dance, installations and sideshows offering a European style festival experience.

Location of the Gate Clock pub is on the right.

Companies from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Sweden will join British artists in a feast of free outdoor arts. A programme of over 20 productions will include giant interactive puppet games from Itinerània, an evolving overhead web in Dutch site-specific theatre company Aardlek’s playful piece Growth, an imaginary menagerie in a caravan from Les Enfants Terribles and a fire-fuelled retelling of the Faust myth from Bad Taste Company. There will also be contemporary dance in giant steel cage from Motionhouse, Bollywood influenced juggling from Magmanus and compelling physical theatre in a rusted steel container from Res de Res & Artigues.

Don’t miss the transformation of Royal Greenwich as you soak up the very best of British and international street arts.

Artists include: Compagnie d’Outre Rue, Nutkhut, Bad Taste Company, Compañía Itinerània, Max Calaf, Les Enfants Terribles, Motionhouse, Fatalia, Fet a Ma, Res de Res & Artigues, Molly Orange, Metta Theatre, Rag and Bone, Aardlek Theatre, Stefano di Renzo, Magmanus, Bicycle Ballet, Levantes, RashDash, Pins and Needles, Pin the Tale & Tangled Feet.

We will meet first in the Gate Clock Pub (upstairs) and use it as a base for the day. Events are happening throughout the day and into the evening. There will be regular meetup times in the pub throughout the day (4.00pm 6.00pm 8.00pm ) to help you re-establish contact with the group. Most likely there will always be someone around in the pub at all times!

The GATE CLOCK is just 20 metres from CUTTY SARK DLR station.

Please note that there is a £2 nominal fee for this event for those not holding the Ken's Events Membership card.

I think the road is Creek rather than Greek but I'm sure you can't miss the pub with 180 people milling about.

Saturday afternoon is forecast to be warm and sunny, just like Ken's crowd...

Can you get 160 people upstairs in the Pub? Having been in the place many a time before,it maybe a bit crowded but its the best pub in the area for size.

    • Will

Not worried, just an observation as been there on a Saturday when nothing going on in Greenwich and its been busy as it is weekday lunchtimes. As I said best place for it,was just curious if you could get 160 people up there(in a Top Gear style challenge thing).

Hennah, the Gate Clock pub (our base for the day) is a Weatherspoon's pub & not child friendly. You could always do your own thing as the event is open to the public,

      Thanks for the heads up!
