FREE FIREWORKS DISPLAY in Southwark Park which actually takes place on Bonfire Night itself, November the 5th.
The display includes more than half a tonne of giant fireworks, some of which shoot over 600ft into the sky before exploding, and takes a team of eight pyrotechnicians two days to set it all up.
This is also one of London's most spectacular annual displays, and you'll be able to see the fireworks for miles, but in order to get the best view we will all head down near to the Riverside.
We will meet first at 5.45pm just behind Canada Water tube station. From there we will head down to our vantage point at 6.15pm sharp. Afterwards (around 7.30pm) we will head back towards the station and on to our reserved bar for more socialising.
Afterparty
After the fireworks we will be meeting in the West Coast Bar & Grill, Surrey Quays Leisure Park,Surrey Quays, Southwark,SE16 1LL
(near the Bowling Centre and the Odeon) for a few drinks and some food if you wish.
Once again, 5 November will be a bright sparkling occasion in Southwark with this spectacular fireworks display lighting up the sky.
Set in the south end of the stunning Southwark Park, this free display will be set to music and promises to be a great show. As well as the fireworks, there will be a variety of hot food and warming winter drinks on offer.

Fireworks were great and Ken picked a very good place for the group! Thank you, I really enjoyed it.

Great fireworks display at Southwark Park! Even the momentary anxiety getting out of the park through a very narrow exit (!) was worth it... Good to meet ya Ken and to see you again, Tooba. Have a great Tuesday!

The fireworks were very good and very artistic. Despite the fact I missed everyone at Canada Water I managed to find the group and caught up with friends.

Meeting point now confirmed as outside Canada Water Tube Station. Canada Water is only two stops from London Bridge and only one stop from Canary Wharf. To find the meeting point just circle immediately behind the station (25 metres) and we will be standing next to the waters edge. We will leave this meetup point at 6.15pm sharp to take the short walk down to Southwark Park and the fireworks. We will be entering the Park via Gomm Road Gate. After the fireworks we are all heading to the West Coast Bar & Grill for a drink (and some food if you wish) and more socialising, where we have a reserved area. The West Coast Bar is back in the direction of Canada Water station, but is next to the Bowling Centre and the Odeon and is only 5 minutes walk from the station.
