END LONDON 2012 WITH A BANG. Let's see the year out in style. Ken (and his fabulous co-hosts) are hosting this year's LONDON MEETUP NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY to end LONDON 2012. It will be a fabulous ending to a fantastic year!

The appropriately named EV Bar is the chosen venue for this event. EV Bar is the perfect NY's Eve venue for getting into the spirit of the occasion and making new friends and cementing existing friendships to last well into 2013. It is a great place for a Party There is also plenty of space and seating.

Here you can enjoy cool inexpensive drinks at a venue with a Mediterranean feel and outdoor green aspects, near Waterloo, yet well away from the noisy crowds of the West End.

A great evening is in store for us.

The venue is not on a main road. It is close to and parallel with the street called 'The Cut'. When on 'The Cut' head for the Anchor and Hope pub (don't go in!!), then turn down the street along the side of this pub and then head for the railway arches, and a green oasis of bars and restaurants will soon come into view on the right

The venue is also directly behind Southwark Tube Station.

I am sure Ken will put some more information up tomorrow (or this evening), but as a suggestion can I point out that quite a few will undoubtedly be outside as there is a covered area. Therefore, it would be a good idea to make sure you have a coat as the weather is not that predictable.
Also can anybody who is not now going, please change your RSVP!

o.k called the venue and sadly all tables are booked only standing space available, they are not having a DJ as they are donating any donations made to the local hospital, dancing is permitted and encouraged but they have no dance floor, here are the venue details as (it is beautiful and will be lively as they are very well booked) http://www.hollywoodarmschelsea...

o.k I'm getting a lot of messages about the bar near Chelsea. I like everyone else would love to have gone to kens event but unfortunately we can't all go. There is 160 people on the waiting list with nowhere to go. I am contacting the venue in Chelsea tonight and confirming tomorrow by about 3pm. anyone who contacts me after this time wont be on the booking unless they let me update the numbers. Once again it is open until 3am and has a DJ, FREE to get in and if the group is big enough we don't have to worry about how other people are as we will have each other :-). I just don't want to spend new years walking the streets of London hoping someone might still have space (there is two days to go) and we have to be realistic, as i want to start the year with good memories. x

Commencing 1st January 2013 new members joining are required to make an annual contribution to the group of £11 towards the running costs of the group. This gives you ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP and entitles you to attend every event for free (no meetup fees) for as long as you remain a member! There are no more attendance fees to Pay! No individual meetup fees to pay!

Alternatively for a single once only contribution of £15 you can obtain EXTENDED MEMBERSHIP for the next 3 years!! That works out at only £5 per year!!

Commencing 1st May 2013 Guests of Members are required to pay a £2 contribution per event attended.

You can make your one off contribution through paypal in the left hand column or by cash at your first event.
