Volunteer call: LPVA Booth at the State Fair of Virginia

It’s THAT TIME again! The Libertarian Party of Virginia needs volunteers to man shifts at our State Fair Booth this year! We believe it is extremely important that we have a booth to promote our many candidates this year and to promote the Libertarian Party of Virginia.

The 2014 State Fair of Virginia is scheduled to run from Friday, September 26 – Sunday, October 5, 2014.

Operating days and hours are as follows: Friday, September 26: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturday, September 27: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday, September 28: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Monday, September 29: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Tuesday, September 30: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Wednesday, October 1: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Thursday, October 2: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Friday, October 3: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturday, October 4: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday, October 5: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

As you know, manning a State Fair booth is a very demanding assignment, particularly during peak periods (weekends and evenings). We will need a minimum of 2 LPVA representatives at the booth, preferably 3 during peak periods. This will allow for breaks for food, water and rest room time. Shifts of at least 4 hours would be needed. Therefore, there would be at least 30 shifts with a need for 2-3 LPVA reps at each. Some people may be able to volunteer for more than one 4-hour shift. However, maximum manpower will be needed to support the booth for the entire time. If you can cover several shifts on different days, your help will be greatly appreciated!!

If you would like to earn an All-Day State Fair Ticket for manning the State Fair Booth for at least 4 hours, please send LPVA State Fair Chair Donna Grebas at [masked] the days/times you are available.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
