TableTop Day 2014 Game-stravaganza

The Central Arkansas Library System is hosting this special Saturday gaming event! Because TableTop!

Table Top Tuesday’s special all-day game program for International Tabletop Day 2014! We’ve upgraded our location to Hillcrest Hall on Kavanaugh Blvd., so we now have two floors worth of game table space, plus the yard and gazebo outside. Comfy chairs, cozy rooms, plus a big, big game room. There will be door prizes, snacks, and even a small poker tournament in there somewhere. Come to learn and play some of the top games or feel free to bring your own games you've been wanting to play.

Author and gamer Jim Comer will present a brief introduction to world-building, including how-tos, horrible examples, and constructing languages. Bring laptops, notebooks, and questions!

Thanks for making it awesome, everyone! I had so much fun doing it, and I hope it was at least almost that great for you.

Had a blast! I would have gotten there sooner but I couldn't make up my mind on what pain of shoes to buy...

Just strained some muscle. Sore but recovering. Were any old-time wargamers there?

Had a great time! Thanks for all the hard work setting up the event! Judging by the crowds, I'd say it's a smashing success.

I will find it irregardless, just bring your happy face.

You might indeed be too high to think straight, but we'll still let you in at Hillcrest Hall. In Hillcrest. On Kavanaugh at Lee St. With all the bright yellow signs and the garden and gazebo and stuff. Yep. Come on.

I live super close and I've got a decent game collection. I can bring whatever folks want to play. I'd like to try to run a game of ultimate werewolf and epic thunderstone advance. Or just play with whatever other folks want to.

I will be hosting a demo table. Likely featuring some of your Dice Hate Me Games favorites and others. ;)

We're doing drinks and snacks on a donation basis to defray some of the refreshment costs, thus allowing me to buy another game or two later for Table Top Tuesday. Requested donation is $.50 for canned drinks and $.25 for popcorn. I'm not going to turn you away if you're broke, but please consider throwing some change our way. Yes, we will be able to make change!

Open house all-day (library hours) games somewhere here at the Main Library campus. Of course some kind of food will be provided, probably special occasion food, by the library. I'm still nailing down the details.
