I am what they call a "young widow", and have been since Aug. 2009.
I am starting this group because:
I know how good it feels to talk to others that "get it"
I know how powerful it is to support each other on the journey
This group will focus on moving forward and rekindling the excitement and hope of happiness and joy ahead!

"I am a 47 years old. I was suddenly widowed less than a year ago. My 51 year old husband suffered a massive heart attack. I have a 19 year old son. I am also a retired nurse. I volunteer for Disabled American Veterans.. usually by bartending."

"I lost my husband of 37 years on December 10, 2011 to a sudden, massive heart attack. He was 57 and was enjoying his second year of retirement from the teaching. We were having such a good time and having so much fun. I am devastated without him."
